Rehearsal Notes to Parents

December 17th: Nutcracker Dress Rehearsal at The Granada Theatre, 
   6:00 p.m. for those in the Party Scene
   All party adults, all party girls, all party boys, Clara, Fritz, Maid, 
   Dr. & Mrs. Stahlbaum, Drosselmeier, Nephew, toy dolls – Harlequin,
   Columbine, Toy Soldier Doll, Grandma, Grandpa. Please come dressed and
   ready in your costume.  

December 18th:  Nutcracker Dress Rehearsal at The Granada Theatre, 
    10:00 a.m. for those in the Dream/Battle Scene and Snow Scene
   Mice, Mouse Queen, Mouse King,  Battle Nutcracker, Nutcracker Prince,
   Soldiers, Clara, Drosselmeier, Snowflakes, Icicles, Angels, Snow Queen.

December 18th:  Nutcracker Dress Rehearsal at The Granada Theatre, 
   1:00 p.m. for those in the Land of Sweets:
   Clara, Nutcracker Prince, Sugar Plum Fairy, Angels, Mother Ginger, 
   Polichinelles​, Arabian, Greek, Peppermint, Candy Canes, Marzipan,
   sheperds, Victoria, Victorian Dolls, Spanish, Jasmine, Oriental Teas, 
   

December 18th:  The Nutcracker Ballet Show, at The Granada Theatre.  
Arrival times:  
5:30 p.m. – Stage Assistants, Babysitters, Program Attendants, 
                    All Party Scene Men
6:00 p.m. – all other dancers
6:30 p.m. – doors open to public
7:00 p.m. – show starts

All dancers need to come dressed and ready for their first dance at all rehearsals and show. If your child is unable to wear their costume while in a car or booster seat, you may use the restrooms in the lobby of the theatre to get them ready.

Costumes for Men & boys will be in the upstairs Mezzanine room (they may leave their regular clothes there during rehearsals & show, however, do not leave anything valuable as The Granada Theatre nor Sherry’s Dance Workshop will be responsible to lost or stolen items. Boys may bring one hand held video game to keep them busy while they are back stage – keep in mind The Granada Theatre nor Sherry’s Dance Workshop is not responsible for lost/damaged items.

Do not send coats, clothes, toys or food with students back stage. If they are in only one dance they do not need to bring anything with them when called to go back stage. Those in more than one dance may bring their dance bag with items needed.

NO cell phones are allowed backstage.

Hair: all students (except those in the party scene) are to wear their hair in a bun at the base of the head, if possible. If you cannot get it in a bun, then clip it away from the face. Girls in the party scene are to wear their hair in ringlets.

All dress rehearsals will start with the Grand Finale’, then each scene in the order of performance. When an age group is finished with their dances, the babysitters will bring the students to the auditorium assigned side isle to go home. Parents, please stay for the dress rehearsal so that you may pick up your child promptly. I cannot give you a specific time on when they will be finished with rehearsal.
