January Dance Notes
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and I’m wishing you all the best in the new year!
All spring costumes have been ordered and the costume companies will start shipping what they have in stock (in fact, I have received notice that some have already been shipped!!). Please do not be too concerned if your child's costume does not arrive early. The companies ship what they have available and will make the rest that are needed to complete our order. Most of the rest will be coming in mid to end of March.
You will be receiving your January statement via separate e-mail. Dance Fees AND Recital fee of $60.00 is due on or before January 5th. Late fees will be added to accounts on the 9th. Those set up on Auto Pay, your bank/credit card account will be charged on January 5th.
Please check your parent portal as some class times have changed for the spring session.
Just a reminder:
Weekly Classroom requirement: ALL students MUST wear a leotard (any style/color) or a lycra athletic tank top. They may wear tights or leggings, shorts (spandex/stretch only), or a skirt (elastic waist only). Long hair MUST be pulled up in a ponytail or bun. Short hair must have bangs pinned back. They are to wear the correct shoes for each class they participate in.
I have an online dancewear store through Revolution Dancewear called Nimbly. You may purchase anything shown in the store, however I do have specific items approved for classroom wear. See Below.

Navigating the store:
* Log in - you can use the same password as your Parent Portal if you like.
* Select a category: Ballet shoes, Jazz shoes, Tap shoes, or Classroom Attire.
These items are the approve styles for Sherry's Dance Workshop.
NOT ALLOWED: T-shirts, sweatshirts, blue jean shorts or blue jean pants, cotton shorts, skirts that need tied, or glitter skirts.

March 2, 2026: Recital T shirt deadline. More info closer to time.
March 16 - 20, 2026: Studio closed for Spring Break.
April 11, 2026: Recital pictures.
April 30, 2026: Dress rehearsal (costume/dance shoes) - Mandatory

Visit the studio website often to stay up to date on studio happenings! Most important pages of the website: Important Dates and Class Schedule. Here you will find important dates, info on pictures, tights, costume pictures, music to practice with, etc.
Dance Fees: Monthly statements are sent via separate e-mail. Please let me know ASAP if you do not receive your statement. You may always check your account, in the parent portal, to see: charges to your account, your balance due, payments posted, etc. You may pay through the Parent Portal at any time.
Your January fees cover classes held: 1/5 - 1/30, 2026.
Inclement Weather Policy: the studio will close for inclement weather if USD 253 schools close for inclement weather. Studio closings, for inclement weather will also be posted on the studio Website. You will be notified by email for any last minute closings. If we are having bad weather, please check your emails AND make sure the building is open before dropping of kids.
Sick Child Policy: If your child or a family member is running a fever or sick, please keep your dancer at home. Thank you for your cooperation!
